New Delhi, Mohd. Kashif, an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) secured the first position in the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) Centralised Recruitment Board-2019 Exam for the post of the Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’-Mechanical(Post No. BE002). Kashif completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from JMI in the year 2019.
Apart from Kashif two other students of his class Amit Kumar Bhardwaj and Areeb Ahmad have also been selected for the same position in the coveted space research organisation.
ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board-2019 conducted the written test for the selection of SC level scientists in the month of January, 2020 and interview of the candidates who cleared exams were conducted in July,2021.
Elated over the performance of JMI students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar conveyed her best wishes to them and hoped that it will motivate other students towards pursuing a career in research and excel in it.
In the recently declared NIRF Ranking JMI moved up four places from 10th last year to 6th this year in the university category and the Vice-Chancellor attributes the improvement to enhanced research atmosphere in the university.
