New Delhi,: The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India is organizing International Conference on Unani Medicine on March 10-11, 2022 in Srinagar as part of Unani Day 2022 celebrations.
Speaking about the conference, Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Director General, CCRUM, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India said that “Diet and Nutrition in Unani Medicine for Good Health & Well-being” has been chosen as the theme of the conference which is very important and in sync with the national priority. He further said that the conference was planned to be held on February 10-11, 2022 to mark Unani Day, but due to surge in Covid-19 cases, it had to be rescheduled for March 10-11, 2022.
Prof. Khan added that the conference aims to explore the potential of Unani Medicine, particularly its dietary regimens and advices, in reducing the burden of disease and decreasing the related mortality which would help us in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal-3 of Good Health and Wellbeing. The international conference will have dedicated scientific sessions on various topics related to diet and nutrition for maintenance of good health and wellbeing.
