CCRUM Organises Workshop on Use of Hindi language

New Delhi, : The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India organized today a workshop on use of Hindi language at Ayush Auditorium, Janakpuri, New Delhi.

On this occasion, the need and mandate of the promotion of Hindi language and maximizing its use in day-to-day official working as well as in personal life was highlighted.

In his presidential address, Shri K. K. Sapra, Assistant Director (Administration), CCRUM informed that the quantum of work in Hindi language has substantially increased at the CCRUM and sincere efforts are on to extend it to 100 percent.

Speaking as the chief guest, Shri Kumar Pal Sharma, Deputy Director (Implementation), Northern Regional Implementation Office-I (Delhi), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home affairs called upon all stakeholders including government and non-government organisations to use Hindi as much as possible and minimize the influence of English in their official works.

Smt. Purnima Bose, Assistant Director (Official Language), Ministry of Ayush highlighted the importance of mother tongue and encouraged to work in the language that one’s brain speaks.

The workshop concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Nahid Parveen, Assistant Director (Unani), CCRUM.

Earlier, the workshop began with welcome address by Dr. Mokhtar Alam, Incharge, Official Language, CCRUM. He called for organizing Hindi workshop quarterly in CCRUM’s headquarters and its subordinate offices.

Mohd Niyaz Ahmad, Research Officer (Publication), CCRUM conducted the proceedings of workshop which was well-attended by the CCRUM officials and staff.
