Prayagraj, On the occasion of Seventh Armed Forces Veterans Day HQ Purva UP & MP Sub Area at Prayagraj honoured the Veterans of our Defence Services for their sacrifices and selfless service to the Nation. It was also an opportunity for reiterating the commitment of those in uniform towards the care and welfare of the Veterans fraternity. Veterans turned out in large numbers from in and around Prayagraj. The interactions focused around updating them on the various welfare schemes of the Tri-services and the Govt of the Country.
The Defence Pensioner’s Contact Centre, PCDA (P) shared the information on ongoing migration of pensioner’s to SPARSH and redressed the grievances related to personal documentation and pension related issues in one to one discussion.
The Veterans were also apprised of recently commissioned state of the art boarding and lodging facility at OD Fort near Sangam viz. ‘Surya Sainik Sadan’. The gathering was also informed about the similar transit facility at Varanasi being made functional by mid February 2023.
Similar functions were also conducted at Ayodhya and Varanasi.
