Conducting seminars on scholarship-based educational opportunities in Turkey

Sambhal: Al-Noor Educational and Social Welfare Society and Sahil Study Point in collaboration organized a seminar on scholarship based educational opportunities abroad especially in Turkey at Al-Noor Public School, Nakhasa, Sambhal, in which Mr. Hassan Mahfooz participated online from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Mr. Muhammad Farman, Mr. Wasiur Rahman and Mr. Muhammad Rafi participated online from Turkey. These four gentlemen are studying in Turkey.

Mr. Wasiur Rahman while talking about Diyanet scholarship, said that the children who have passed the 8th grade with (70%) marks or are giving the 8th grade exam this year can apply for admission in the 9th grade through the website (diyanetburslari.tdv.org), the last date of which is February 28. In Turkey, there is no admission to 11th grade. High school and intermediate are completed simultaneously in four years, with separate college hostels for girls and boys. Diyanet also offers admission to graduate and master’s degrees in Islamiyaat.

Mr. Muhammad Farman while talking about Turkey Burslari scholarship, said that the online forms for admission in science, commerce, art, management, medical, engineering for graduation, master and Ph.D. are currently available, with a deadline of February 20 on the website (turkiyeburslari.gov.tr).

Mr. Hasan Mahfooz said that every year about 5000 students from different countries of the world are taken admission in Turkey on the basis of 100% scholarship. All expenses are covered including air fares and pocket expenses. 90% marks are required for admission in MBBS, 70% for graduation and 75% for admission in Masters and PhD.

The three gentlemen emphasized that the complete form should be filled with full attention, especially the letter of intent should be written very comprehensively on three issues, why do you want to enroll in this course? Why choose Turkey for education? And what is your future plan? Selected candidates are called for a test and interview at the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi in the month of June, in which religious questions are also asked in addition to subject-related questions.
