CCRUM organises National Conference on Ilaj bil-Tadbir at Srinagar

Srinagar: The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India through its peripheral institute Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM) Srinagar organized one day national conference on “Exploring the Role of Regimental Therapy (Ilaj bit tadbeer) in Public Health and Wellness” Under Centre of Excellence project on Ilaj bil-Tadbeer (Regimental therapy) at Convocation Centre University of Kashmir, Srinagar today.

Prof. Afshar Alam, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, Prof. Nelofar Khan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, J&K, Prof. Akbar Masood, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, BGSBU, Rajoori, J&K, Prof. Qayoom Hussain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, J&K, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Romshoo Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Islamic University of Science and Technology, (IUST) Awantipora, J&K, Dr. Abdul Kabeer Dar Secretary Technical Administrative reforms inspection and Training Department Government of J&K, Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Director General, CCRUM Ministry of Ayush Government of India grace the occasion and addressed the inaugural session of the National Conference.

The dignitaries while speaking in the inaugural session talked about the importance of regimental therapy vis a Viz over development of health care system through Unani Medicine. The dignitaries congratulated the RRIUM Srinagar for being awarded as Centre of Excellence project for Ilaj Bil-Tadbir (Regimental therapy). The MoU for collaborative research studies has been signed between IUST and CCRUM and was signed by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, IUST and Director General CCRUM.

The conference was aimed to sensitize, train and create awareness among researchers, academicians and students in the field Ilaj bit-Tadbeer (Regimental Therapy). The seminar held deliberations on exploring the role of regimental therapies in public health and wellness. Further the centre of Excellence in Ilaj bit-Tadbeer (Regimental Therapy) will promote medical tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. The technical sessions were attended by resource persons from different disciplines of medical sciences. Dr. Seema Akbar, Assistant Director Incharge, RRIUM Srinagar along with other officers from RRIUM Srinagar coordinated the seminar.
