Lest it happen that our name will remain only ‘Ramadan worshipers’ – Haji Muhammad Iqbal

Agra. Haji Muhammad Iqbal, the Imam of Nahar Wali Masjid, said in his Khutba Juma that In today’s Friday sermon, we will talk about those mosques which are now empty of worshippers. Now even in the prayer of Juma, no enthusiasm or excitement is left. What is the reason for this? We need to pay attention on it. One thing is known from this that Allah can change hearts whenever He wants, this is one of the example of His power, but what is our role in this? The real question is, how much have we tried to improve ourselves? Has the value of Namaz reduced after Ramadan? O servants of Allah! Ramadan comes once a year and there is a relaxation of fasting in that too, if you are ill or if you are on a journey, you can skip that fast and complete it later, but there is no ruling to skip the Namaz neither because of illness nor during the journey. So which is more valuable? The answer is Namaz. Then why is there carelessness with Namaz? In the grave, the question will be asked about the Namaz in the first place. Five times Namaz a day is obligatory. One shouldn’t live without it. The five Namaz of the day have to be offered under any circumstances and most of us neglect this duty. We have to offer Namaz with the same concern with which we were offering Namaz in Ramadan. Lest it happen that our name remains only ‘Ramadan worshippers’. No matter how ill you are, you are not allowed to skip Namaz even at that time. There is not any excuse even in the condition of war. Such an important duty and we are so careless? In this regard, we are very big criminals, and the culprits of whom? Of the Creator of this universe. Can we go somewhere safe? When there is no option, then wisdom says that silently surrender yourself to the Creator who is also our Creator. That’s why don’t leave Namaz under any circumstances, otherwise it will be difficult to answer. Pray to Allah that may Allah make us all the ones who establish Namaz till death. Aameen.
