Prayagraj, Lt Gen Gajendra Joshi, AVSM, SM, DGTA visited 111 Inf Bn (TA) KUMAON and 137 CETF Bn (TA) 39 GR, Prayagraj on 25 Jul 2023. The visit was focused on the importance of role & tasks of Territorial Army in Nation building and how this Citizen’s Army can be utilized in strengthening the security framework of the country by using the service of the part time volunteers. While interacting with troops, the DGTA emphasized on importance of physical fitness, personal security, training and professional competence and also dwelled on attaining skills that will assist their professional within as well outside the Army. The General Officer appreciated the efforts of the troops in maintaining high standards of military order and proficiency and acknowledged the efforts of troops by presenting medallions.
