New Delhi: Orient Electric Limited, part of the diversified $2.8 billion CK Birla Group, has illuminated Rail Bhawan, Baroda House, and Travancore House in New Delhi in Tricolour in celebration of India’s 77th Independence Day as part of its #OrientLightsUpIndia initiative. The company has used indigenously developed Façade lighting solutions to light up these sites, with the option to program lighting levels, colours, and effects through controllers.
Rail Bhawan is the headquarters of the Indian Railways, Baroda House was once the residence of the Maharaja of Baroda in Delhi, and the Travancore House, also known as Travancore palace, is a heritage building transformed into a cultural complex and art gallery. Orient has lit up all these three sites of cultural and historical significance in Tricolour, creating a visually appealing experience for visitors.

Orient Electric has also lit up many other famous buildings across India in Tricolour including Varanasi Cantt Railway Station in Varanasi, Ganga Barrage in Kanpur, and Bharathi Park in Pondicherry, Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal and Leh Main Gate, Shanti Stupa and the gate of Mahabodhi International Meditation Center in Leh. The company refers to these beautifully lit structures as ‘Lightstallations’.
