There is a greater risk of getting worse in the trial of wealth : Muhammad Iqbal

Agra | In today’s Sermon of Friday, Muhammad Iqbal, Imam of Masjid Naharwali Sikandra, focused on the fact that after coming into this world, every human being has to be ‘tested’ by Allah. No one can escape this. It is stated in Quran Surah No. 64 Ayat No. 15– “Your wealth and children are trial.” Now to see that trials come from Allah in different ways, but which is the worst trial? For this, understand the meaning of Sahih Bukhari’s Hadith number 6375– “O Allah ! I seek refuge in You from the trials of the grave, from the evil trials of wealth and from the evil trials of poverty.” Trials come from Allah in many ways. There are mention of it at many places in the Quran, but the worst trial is that of ‘Wealth’ because there is a greater risk of a person getting worse in it. Because of wealth one becomes distant from Allah. He neither gets time for Namaz nor he thinks about repentance. He is so engrossed in his wealth that he forgets Allah. Even when he is in need, he bows down to Allah, cries, asks for forgiveness of his sins, keeps trying to get himself out of it somehow and then one day Allah listens to his prayers. Yes ! If a rich person remembers Allah and the poor people in his wealth and searches for the needy and distributes wealth given by Allah to them, then he is fulfilled in the test from Allah. May Allah keep us all obedient in our tests and trials.
