Agra | In today’s Friday sermon, the Imam of Masjid Neharwali, Mohammad Iqbal, spoke about the significance of prayer. He mentioned an incident involving an Islamic scholar. He said that this Islamic scholar went on his second journey to Baitul-Maqdas in 1995. When he entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque and stood to offer two rak’ahs of Namaz, according to him, his heart overflowed with emotions, and while crying in prostration, these words came to his lips: “O Allah, the difference of time means nothing to You, eliminate this distance of time for me and include me among the ranks of the sacred congregation where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the Namaz and all the prophets were standing behind him in rows, offering Namaz.” While reading this incident, tears filled my eyes. The essence is that when a prayer comes from the heart, it goes straight to the Throne, and a prayer will emerge from the heart when we fully realize that the Creator of this world, my Lord, is watching me, and I surrender my entire being completely in accordance with His command. When we have this state of mind, no one can stop a heartfelt prayer from reaching the Throne of Allah. Let us cultivate this passion within ourselves and see how situations change and our problems are resolved. May Allah grant me and all of you the ability to do this. Aameen.
