Are we conveying Allah’s message to Allah’s servants : Muhammad Iqbal

Agra | The Imam of Masjid Neharwali, Muhammad Iqbal, informed people about the simplicity and ease of Islam in today’s Friday Sermon. He said that Islam is a natural religion, and its practices are very simple and easy, but we have made it complicated. Just look at the words we use daily. For example, when meeting someone, we say “Assalamu Alaikum”; when sharing good news, we say “Alhamdulillah”; when intending to do something, we say “InshaAllah”; and when seeing something good, we say “MashAllah,” etc. The way we conduct funerals, no other community has a better method, and similarly, the beautiful way of marriage in the form of Nikah cannot be surpassed. These practices in Islam are very simple, easy, and meaningful. However, we have undermined the true essence of Islam by adding unnecessary complexities. There are many examples in the world where people were drawn to Islam by observing our character and embraced the religion, but in the present time, we ourselves have become examples that make people distance themselves from us. Today, we are responsible for not conveying the message of Islam to others. Are we fulfilling our duty of Dawah (inviting others to Islam)? We ourselves are still unaware of our religion, just born into Muslim families, and thus we consider ourselves Muslims. What do we know about Islam? Every person should ask themselves this question, and they will get the answer from within. How will we preach to others and convey Allah’s religion to them when this responsibility has been given to us? We have been called the best nation because we forbid evil and teach good things. Are we doing this? If not, this “title” will be taken away from us. Servants of Allah! Time is passing rapidly. Everyone has to be accountable in front of their “Lord,” so prepare for it. May Allah grant me and all of you the ability to do so. Aameen.
