MRM Urges Restraint and National Unity, Condemns Lynching & Divisive Statements

New Delhi,: The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has expressed deep concern over the recent incidents of lynching in Haryana and Maharashtra, which have sent shockwaves across the nation. The organization strongly condemns all forms of violence, emphasizing that “no one is bigger than the country.” MRM has called for national unity above all else. It also criticized statements made by leaders of the India Alliance, including Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, for their potential to divide society and disrupt the harmony of the nation.

Criticism of the India Alliance

The MRM has criticized the India Alliance, urging its leaders to refrain from making statements that could incite division for political gain. The organization stressed that all political figures, regardless of their affiliation, should avoid spreading hatred and should instead focus on fostering unity. The MRM called on leaders to abstain from actions that could fracture the country and encouraged them to work together to maintain peace and harmony, allowing the law to address incidents of violence.

Echoing the Views of Dr. Bhagwat & Dr. Indresh

The MRM emphasized that any act of lynching, whether involving a cow or a person of any religion, is a heinous and condemnable crime. The National Convenor Board echoed the sentiments of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and MRM Chief Patron Dr. Indresh Kumar. In July 2021, Dr. Bhagwat highlighted that Hindus and Muslims share the same DNA, and that those who engage in divisive rhetoric or lynching are neither true Hindus nor true Indians.

Dr. Indresh Kumar, the chief patron of MRM, has consistently condemned lynching on various platforms, calling such acts a blight on society. He advocates for a society where individuals practice their own religions while respecting the beliefs of others, maintaining that violence in the name of religion has no place in a civilized society.

Call for Peace and Harmony

The MRM urges all sections of society to unite against violence and respect the rule of law. The organization declared that violence, whether related to conversion, cow slaughter, or the lynching of individuals, is unacceptable. The MRM called on all citizens to respect one another and work towards mutual harmony, asserting that a safe and peaceful society can only be achieved through unity, where every individual feels secure and protected.
