Agra. District level art-craft and puppetry competition was organized in District Education and Training Institute, Agra. It was inaugurated by Deputy Education Director of District Education and Training Institute, Mrs. Pushpa Kumari ji by lighting a lamp and offering garland to Goddess Saraswati. A total of 35 teachers of primary and upper primary level of the district participated in the competition.
In which Rachna Bhatia, Principal, Primary School Neemkala, Etmadpur in Mathematics at primary level and Nidhi Srivastava, Principal, Primary School Ladukheda 2 in Language and Shaili Rajouria, Assistant Teacher, Pu Ma Vi Nagla Swaroop in Science at upper primary level, Jyoti Gupta, Assistant Teacher, UPS Etmadpur Madra, Barauli Ahir in Social Science and Sangeeta Sharma, Principal, Primary School Dhanauli in Mathematics were selected to represent the district at the state level. The jury comprised Mr. Chetan Gautam (Assistant Professor) Department of Chemistry, Agra College, Agra, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Maurya (Assistant Professor) Department of Drawing and Painting, Agra College, Agra, Mr. Avnish Kumar Tiwari (Assistant Professor) Department of Mathematics, Agra College, Agra. Deputy Education Director Mrs. Pushpa Kumari said that art, craft and puppetry develop children’s thinking power, creativity and spirit of cooperation and it proves helpful in teaching all subjects. Competition Nodal Incharge Dr. D.K. Gupta said that art, craft and puppetry develop children’s thinking ability and bring entertainment in teaching. The competition was conducted by Mrs. Lakshmi Sharma (Coordinator) and on this occasion, coordinator Mrs. Ranjana Pandey and DIET spokesperson Mr. Anil Kumar, Dr. Manoj Varshney, Yashveer Singh, Dr. Pragya Sharma, Kalpana Singha, Pushpendra Singh Yashpal Singh, Abu Mohammad Asif, Sanjeev Satyarthi and Gaurav Bhargava, Amit Dixit, Prabal Singh, Lal Bahadur Singh, Tilak Jung etc. were present.
