Israeli Ambassador salutes the bravery of Indian soldiers
New Delhi,India and Israel face similar challenges, both grappling with terrorism and the hostile actions of their neighboring countries. This natural and strong friendship between the two nations has evolved as a powerful force for peace. These thoughts were shared by Dr. Indresh Kumar, member of the National Executive of the RSS and Patron of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS), during a vibrant event held at the Teen Murti Haifa Chawk in Delhi today.
Dr. Indresh Kumar emphasized that the convergence of India and Israel has brought light to the world. Both nations are actively working to establish global peace. A large crowd gathered at the Teen Murti Haifa Chawk, jointly organized by FANS Delhi Chapter and NDMC, to pay tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who fought valiantly in World War I.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Indresh Kumar recounted the historic battle that took place on September 23, 1918. A brigade of 900 soldiers from Jodhpur, Hyderabad, and Mysore’s Imperial Service Cavalry fought bravely against the Ottoman Empire with simple, indigenous weapons. These brave Indian soldiers played a pivotal role in liberating Israel from the oppressive Ottoman rule and establishing peace in the region. He proudly mentioned that for the past 11 years, FANS has been honoring these martyrs at Haifa Chawk, keeping their legacy alive.
Dr. Kumar further highlighted the challenges faced by both countries today. India continues to battle extremism from China and Pakistan, as well as internal threats such as Naxalism and terrorism. Similarly, Israel is combating the radicalism of Lebanon, Iran, and Palestine. He concluded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Nation First” philosophy is the key to ensuring India’s unity and integrity.
