Prayagraj,To culminate the weeklong celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee Year-2024,137 CETFBn (TA) 39 GR organized an awareness campaign on 09 Oct 2024 being the 75th TerritorialArmy Day at Saraswati Ghat, Prayagraj. The gathering was participated by Ganga Prahari,Nagar Nigam and WII. The NCC students and the participants were presented with oneHerbal Plant each to encourage health through native plantation.The students were madeaware of the task the unit is carrying out in the rejuvenation of River Ganga and the overalltask and duties the Territorial Army is devoted to perform.
Another awareness event was organised at IIT-BHU. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Shyam Bihari Dwivedi, Dean (Academic Affairs), Prof. Sasankasekhar Mandal, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and other esteemed professors, faculty members and enthusiastic students of IIT(BHU). Major Kanwardeep Singh Nagi of 137 CETF BN (TA) 39 GR delivered an insightful lecture on the Territorial Army’s rich history and its contributions to national security and environmental conservation. The program highlighted the battalion’s unique role in ecological protection and social outreach.The celebration also featured a plantation drive, reinforcing the battalion’s commitment to sustainability andenvironmental protection. The event concluded with a vibrant balloon-releasing ceremony, symbolizing 75 years of dedicated service to the nation and renewing the pledge to contribute towards a greener future.The event served to strengthen ties between the academic and defense communities, inspiring greater collaboration in nation-building and ecologicalinitiatives.
