Agra. Punjabi Heritage was presenting a glimpse of Punjabi culture through Gidda, Tappe, Boliyaan along with Punjabi costumes and cuisines in the Sargi fair organized at GIC ground. On one hand, newly married couples from Agra as well as Firozabad and Hathras were feeling fortunate after receiving blessings from Sargi Maa Aarti Saluja with a plate of Karva. The lamp lighting ceremony of this program was done by the Chairman of Punjabi Virasat Puran Dabar and Executive Chairman Anil Verma, General Secretary Bunty Grover and the entire Punjabi Virasat. Among the chief guests were Agra MP SP Singh Baghel, State Women Commission Chairman Mrs. Babita Chauhan, Preeti Upadhyay and many other dignitaries of the city.
During the program, on one hand, the scene from the birth of the girl to her growing up and then taking Sargi after marriage, under the direction of Vandana Kakkar, was making today’s event come true and was attracting the people present there. Apart from this, under the direction of Ravi Narang’s Holy Light School, Mini Oberoi, and Indu Vij, small boys and girls were presenting a tableau of Punjab.
In the Sargi Queen competition, Dr. Renu Mahendra, Dr. Aman Priya Singh, Dr. Jaideep Malhotra, Rashmi Magan, Kokila Dhar were the judges.
