Yashpal Sharma and Raza Murad Showcase their Talents in Memory of Poet Kunwar Bechain

Rising from Hisar, Haryana, he has carved a unique niche in Hindi cinema with diverse roles, starting with his character as ‘Lakha’ in Lagaan. Yashpal Sharma began his film career with the 1998 film Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, but it was his negative role as Lakha in Aamir Khan’s Lagaan that brought him true recognition. Following this success, he left his mark in films like Gangaajal, Ab Tak Chhappan, Apaharan, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Aarakshan, and Rowdy Rathore. On Sunday, Yashpal shared his journey with the media in Vaishali, Ghaziabad. He said, “The journey from Lakha in Lagaan to where I am today has been driven by hard work, determination, and faith. When I left Haryana, I hadn’t imagined success would embrace me in this way.”
Another remarkable aspect of Yashpal Sharma’s career is his theater art, where he has showcased his acting prowess on stage. His Haryanvi film Pagdi: The Honor was appreciated at the National Film Awards, and his talent has been acknowledged on numerous platforms. Earlier on Saturday evening, Yashpal participated in a poetry event in Ghaziabad, held in memory of poet Kunwar Bechain. At the event, he captivated the audience not only with his poetry recitation but also through his acting. Joining him was Raza Murad, who added charm to the evening by reciting the poems of Sahir Ludhianvi and Kunwar Bechain in his deep voice, mesmerizing the listeners.
