Agra. A live demonstration of faith and unity by the Catholic community of the Archdiocese will be present at St. Peter’s College Agra on 24 November 2024 to celebrate and honor the feast of ‘Christ the King’.
This annual tradition will witness prayers, Holy Mass and celebrations, becoming the cornerstone of spiritual devotion of thousands of Catholic believers from various churches across the diocese.
On this occasion, the Catholic community proclaims to the world and also remembers itself again that Lord Jesus is the Lord of the Church and the entire universe.
His Holiness Archbishop of Agra Archdiocese Dr. Rafi Manjali, outgoing Archbishop Dr. Albert D’Souza, priests of the diocese will offer ‘Holy Mass’. His Holiness Archbishop Dr. Rafi Manjali will give the message of ‘Param Utsav’ to the believers on this auspicious occasion.
After the Holy Mass, a procession will be taken out to mark the day which will start from St Peter’s College, pass through Sanjay Place and reach Cathedral Church for worship and conclude with the final blessing.
The traditional procession of the statue of Lord Jesus Christ marks the Lord Jesus Christ seated on the throne, symbolizing this sovereignty.
Other important aspects of the celebration will also be showcased through other tableaux on this day. Hundreds of Catholic believers will participate in the event. It will be a pleasant experience for all of them.
