A meeting of Muslim League (IUML) leaders, MPs, and UP state Muslim League office-bearers in Delhi demanded the appointment of a judicial commission headed by a current sitting judge to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into all issues related to the police firing in Sambhal, UP.
The meeting also demanded immediate compensation for the families of those who died in the firing. It was further stated that steps would be taken to meet the Union Home Minister and the UP Chief Minister to discuss the issue.
The leaders also mentioned that discussions are being held with senior legal experts regarding further legal assistance.
Muslim League MPs ET Mohammad Basheer, PV Abdul Wahab, Dr. MP Abdussamad Samadani, Adv. VK Haris Beeran, UP State Muslim League President Mateen Khan, General Secretary Adv. Muhammad Uwaiz, Secretary Naeem Ansari, Riz Wan Ansari, Shahid Shahzad, Muhammad Idrees, and Salman Saifi were present.
