To give information in this regard, a press conference was organized at Vishwa Samvad Kendra on Monday. In the press conference, Sanatan Chetna Manch convenor Pankaj Khandelwal said that a protest will be held at GIC ground in Pachkuniya from 12 noon on 4th December. Apart from the enlightened citizens of the city, heads of business, social, religious organizations, a large number of common citizens and women power have been called to join.
Pankaj Khandelwal said that in Bangladesh, fundamentalists are continuously attacking and killing the Hindu community. Women are being constantly tortured. Temples are being demolished. The atrocities being committed on the Hindu society have become a matter of serious concern. Instead of stopping these incidents, the government and agencies there are remaining silent spectators. All Agra residents will protest against the atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh through this demonstration. Through the demonstration, global awareness will be raised against the atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh and the Indian government will be asked to take concrete steps in this direction. After the demonstration, a memorandum will be submitted to the President.
Manch’s co-convener Ashok Pippal said that thousands of citizens will gather in GIC ground along with Buddhist and Christian religious leaders. For this, parking arrangements have been made at 6 places, drinking water, toilets as well as 10 thousand chairs.
Co-convener Digvijaynath Tiwari said that small groups have been formed to ensure that more and more people participate in this demonstration. Talks are being held with people from market committees and social organizations. Also, after the demonstration, the process of creating awareness against the atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh will continue through street plays and small meetings. Manch’s publicity chief Manmohan Nirankari, Madhukar Chaturvedi were present in the press conference.
