IYC president Shri Uday Bhanu Chib flays AAP and BJP for harassment of farmers, demands the arrest of Adani
Chandigarh,: The Punjab Youth Congress workers led by Indian Youth Congress president Shri Uday Bhanu Chib and State president Mohit Mohindra today lodged strong ‘Nasha Nahi, Naukari Do’ protest against AAP government in Punjab highlighting the rising unemployment in the state.
The hundreds of youth congress workers assembled at PPCC office in Sector 15 and started marching towards residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to stage the dharna against rising menace of drugs and unemployment in Punjab. The Youth Congress workers were lathi charged by Chandigarh Police and not allowed to proceed further. The slogan shouting Youth Congress workers were arrested by police taken to Sector 39 police station in CTU buses.
IYC President Shri Uday Bhanu Chib while addressing the protesting party workers flayed the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP for harassment of farmers and condemned violence against protesting farmers by Haryana police. He also demanded the arrest of Adani for indulging in corruption. He even said that the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann had failed on all fronts and youth is the major sufferer. He said that Youth Congress has the responsibility towards people of Punjab and will continue to expose the misdeeds of the AAP government. He said that issues of drugs and unemployment are hurting the future of youth in Punjab.
Mohit Mohindra while addressing the Youth Congress volunteers flayed the AAP government for its failure in controlling the drugs and providing promised 25 lakh jobs to the youth. He said that the Bhagwant Mann government is about to complete three years of rule and it failed in fulfilling all the promises made with the people of the state.
IYC President Shri Uday Bhanu Chib said that youth was dying due to drug overdose and police administration is unable to control the drugs. He said that the youth wanted jobs but the AAP government is supplying them with drugs. He said that drugs are being sold with impunity in villages and towns. He added that drugs couldn’t be sold without the political patronage of drug smugglers.
IYC president Shri Uday Bhanu Chib also said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was making false claims of giving 50,000 jobs. He questioned the CM’s claim and asked him to provide the list of youth who are given jobs against sanctioned posts. He said that the AAP government was not able to provide jobs to ETT teachers and other categories who have cleared the interviews. He said that AAP was responsible for frustration among the educated youth. He also said that the economic situation of Punjab was deteriorating as the debt has crossed three lakh crores and would touch 3.40 lakh crores by the end of the current fiscal year. He said that AAP had promised to reduce the debt of the state. He said that today even illegal mining is going on fearlessly.
