A grand women’s employment fair will be held on 21 December, women from all over the district will gather
Agra. It is very important to promote equality and cooperation between men and women for the economic prosperity of the society. When both move forward shoulder to shoulder, not only every home becomes happy, but the society also becomes economically strong. Keeping this objective in mind, Riya Asthana Memorial Foundation and Stoneman Help Foundation are organizing a women’s employment fair on 21 December at Agra Trade Center in Singana.
In a press conference held at Hotel Lemon Tree on Bypass Road on Monday, the organizers said that the preparations for the fair have been finalized. Rajat Asthana, President of Riya Asthana Memorial Foundation and Handicrafts Exporters Association (HEA), said that the objective of the fair is to ensure maximum participation of women in the industrial units of Agra. This initiative is a step towards making women empowered, self-reliant and economically capable.
Famac President Puran Dawar described the event as a revolutionary effort towards empowerment of women in the society. He said that according to the World Bank report, if women’s participation in the workforce is increased to 50 percent, then India’s GDP growth can increase by $ 1.5 trillion. This expansion of the workforce will contribute significantly to economic development.
Kishore Foundation President Deepak Agarwal said that participation of various companies and institutions has been ensured in the job fair to provide employment opportunities to local women in industries and factories.
FAFM President Kuldeep Singh said that this event promises to take women on a new path of job opportunities, skill development and self-reliance. Handicrafts Exporters Association (HEA) Secretary Dr. S.K. Tyagi said that this unique initiative of social concern through the fair will prove to be a milestone in ensuring women’s participation in industrial units.
APSA President Dr. Sushil Gupta praised this campaign to encourage women for employment.
On this occasion, Stoneman Help Foundation President Shishir Asthana, Pradeep Vasan, Dr. Munishwar Gupta, Romi Magan, Ashok Arora, Rani Singh, Kusum Mahajan etc. were mainly present.
