Will work for the renovation of Anganwadis, will also train workers
Agra. Lions Club Agra Icon and BN Group took up the task of renovation of Anganwadi centers which fulfill the education, health and nutrition of children and women in rural areas and dedicated the first service work of the session.
Infra kits were provided to the workers of 21 Anganwadis in the service work meeting organized at Hotel Holiday Inn on Tuesday. Chief guest Former President of Lions Club International Jitendra Chauhan, District Governor Dr. Swati Mathur, District Development Officer Harish Maurya, President of Lions Club Icon Rishu Agarwal, Chairman of BN Group Ajay Agarwal, Director Aman Raghuvanshi and Ashima Agarwal inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
State Women Commission Chairperson Dr. Babita Chauhan, while sending wishes virtually on this occasion, said that all the members of Lions Club Icon and BN Group are young and only young thinking can bring change in the condition of the country. If the idea of this unique service has come in the young generation, then certainly the wave of development will flow more rapidly in the rural areas of the country.
Jitendra Chauhan said that Lions Club is the oldest and largest organization leading in service work. By joining the organization, the young generation is moving on the path of service.
Dr. Swati Mathur said that she is always ready to guide the club.
Welcoming all the guests, President Reshu Agarwal said that the infra kit presented to the Anganwadis includes a total of 69 items including ten chairs, two tables, sports equipment, a tricycle, a white board, books, maps, educational charts, vegetable and fruit blocks. A total of 1500 items have been provided to all the Anganwadis. He said that in the coming time, Anganwadis will be adopted and renovated. Also, workshops related to nutrition, education etc. will be organized in Anganwadis from time to time.
BN Foundation Chairman Ajay Agarwal said that the goal of any enterprise can be fulfilled only when it has a sense of service. Everyone should learn from Ratan Tata’s life and remain dedicated to service work.
In the program, dietician Dr. Rita Mishra gave information about nutritious food to Anganwadi workers and told about how to take care of nutrition even with less resources.
