Along with knowing and believing, we must provide practical proof : Muhammad Iqbal

Agra | The Imam of Masjid Neharwali, Muhammad Iqbal, addressed the worshippers in today’s Friday Sermon and explained who is the greatest in this universe. He said when the Muazzin loudly calls out “Allahu Akbar,” meaning “Allah is the greatest,” this phrase is recited nearly 300 times daily during the call to prayer (Adhan) and the five daily prayers. This act is repeated across the world. This is the greatest truth of the universe, which we all accept and believe in—it is a fact, and our faith is built upon it. Then, why is it that the majority of the Muslim community fails to prove it practically? By the Lord of the Kaaba, if the community proves it in practice, our mosques would be full, and every prayer would feel like the gathering of Friday prayer. Even Friday prayer itself would resemble the Eid prayer. Did hearing this make you feel good? Then, what are you waiting for? Five times a day, you are being invited, yet we have deliberately closed our ears with our own hands. Despite hearing and knowing, we pretend to be unaware. A time may come when people will be offering “our funeral prayer,” which will neither have a call to prayer (Adhan) nor an Iqamah. This, too, is a reality we all know, but merely knowing isn’t solving the problem. We must not only know and believe but also prove it through our actions. If we don’t do this, we should label ourselves as “hypocrites.” There is still time to “wake up” and take a step forward starting today. Allah’s help will surely be with us, InShaAllah. May Allah keep us steadfast on this path. Aameen.
