Jammu : The Indian Army entered the New Year on an uplifting note by hosting a veterans meet today under the aegis of Tiger Division, wherein GOC, Tiger Division honored the brave soldiers and their families who have served the nation with valour and dedication. The event was graced by the presence of India’s highest wartime gallantry award recipient, Subedar Major & Honorary Captain Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra. During this event, the General Officer Commanding, interacted with and felicitated the gallantry awardees for their exemplary service to the nation and also honored the Veer Nari’s and Veer Mata’s, paying tribute to their unwavering courage & sacrifices and recognising their immense strength and resilience.
The event witnessed a significant turnout of veterans, showcasing the enduring bond between the army and its veterans. The General Officer Commanding engaged in meaningful conversation with the veterans, listening to their experiences and addressing their concerns. The event not only cerebrated the indomitable spirit of the veterans but also reinforced the army’s commitment towards supporting and standing by its veterans and their families. The event concluded with a renewed pledge on the very first day of a year to honor the sacrifices of those who have served and to uphold the values of bravery and service to the nation.
