Prayagraj, Troops of 137 CETF Bn (TA) 39 GR - Ganga Task Force (GTF), in a quick and timely action, saved the life of a 40 year old man who had jumped off the Naini Bridge Prayagraj and was drowning in River Yamuna. Showing alertness and presence of mind, Havildar Rinku Kushwaha (Boat Party Commander) and Lance Naik Narayanji who were stationed on the GTF’s patrolling boat at Saraswati Ghat rushed to the drowning man and together with Naik Sujeet Kumar Kushwaha pulled him out of the river. After giving first-aid, he was handed over to the local police authorities. The troops saved the man’s life displaying high professional standards of the Indian Army.
