Aligadh,The students of Jammu & Kashmir studying at Aligarh Muslim University expressed their deep sorrow acknowledging the recent mysterious deaths in the Bu dhal region of Jammu & Kashmir. While providing information to media Tabassum Raza said that students of Jammu & Kashmir studying at Aligarh Muslim University gave a memorandum addressing the Hon’ble President of India, through The Proctor, Aligarh Muslim University, in which they expressed their deep anguish and grief over the tragic and mysterious deaths of 17 individuals in the Bu dhal region of Jammu & Kashmir. The reasons for these deaths remain unknown so far, causing distress and fear among the affected communities, particularly the tribal dwellers of the Pir Panjal region, who primarily belong to nomadic backgrounds. Through the memorandum, students requested the intervention Hon’ble President of India to ensure,
- A High-Level Investigation: An impartial and thorough inquiry to ascertain the exact causes behind these untimely deaths and to hold accountable those responsible, if any foul play is involved.
- Compensation for the Bereaved Families: Adequate financial relief for the affected families to help them cope with their devastating losses.
- Health Insurance for Nomadic Tribes: Special provisions for free healthcare facilities and insurance coverage to safeguard these marginalized communities from future crises.
- Freedom from Bogus Quarantine Practices: Many tribal dwellers of the Pir Panjal region face undue restrictions and arbitrary quarantine measures, leading to social and economic hardships. We request an immediate review of these policies to ensure their fundamental rights are not violated.
Tabassum Raza, a graduation student at AMU, urged the Central Government and State Government of J& K to investigate the matter that led to the mysterious death of 17 lives in the Bu dhal region. Faheem ul Islam, a post graduate student, requested the President of India to establish a committee which could ascertain the reasons behind the failure of health sector in J&K that led to a more than one month delay in constituting the fact check report regarding the mysterious death of 17 lives in the Bu dhal region J&K.
He further said that the tribal communities of Pir Panjal have long been marginalized, with limited access to basic healthcare, education, and legal protection. Their plight has only worsened due to neglect and lack of proactive governance. It is imperative that the Government of India takes swift and concrete steps to address this humanitarian crisis. He further added that trust in commitment to justice and the welfare of all citizens and hope that our plea will receive your urgent attention. The people of Jammu & Kashmir, particularly the nomadic communities, need immediate relief, and we request that their voices be heard. We are looking forward to your kind consideration and prompt action. He further said copy of the memorandum was sent to The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, The Hon’ble Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University, The Proctor, Aligarh Muslim University
