Agra | In today’s Friday Sermon The Imam of Masjid Neharwali, Muhammad Iqbal, explained to the people about the general pardon on the day of the Conquest of Makkah (Fatah Makkah). He mentioned that a general pardon was announced, but it was also stated about some individuals that they should be killed, even if they were found under the covering of the Kaaba. In total, there were 17 individuals, including men and women. Their names were announced, confirming that they were to be executed. However, the world witnessed that whoever sought forgiveness was pardoned by the Prophet of Allah. In this way, forgiveness was granted to 11 men and women. Despite such strict orders, only five individuals were executed. This was the essence of forgiveness. Can such a thing happen today? Whoever asked for forgiveness was forgiven. The act of forgiveness is loved by Allah. We must learn to forgive. May Allah grant us the ability to forgive. Aameen.
