Agra | In today’s Friday Sermon, Mohammad Iqbal, The Imam of Masjid Neharwali, while addressing people, said that just as we followed Allah’s commands during Ramadan, remained regular with prayers, recited the Quran, showed kindness to others, and tried to live like a good human being, we should continue this practice even after Ramadan. Do not let it happen that after Ramadan, we return to our old way of life. If that happens, it means we have not gained anything from Ramadan. We would have wasted this blessed month. Servants of Allah! The prayer that was obligatory (Fard) during Ramadan remains obligatory even after it. The same Quran that was revealed by Allah is valid until the Day of Judgment, not just for recitation during Ramadan. If we continue to live a Ramadan-like life even after Ramadan, it means we have truly learned from it, and our worship has been accepted by Allah. Otherwise, this Ramadan will pass like any other month, and due to our carelessness, we would treat it like a mere ritual. Also, remember that those who missed fasting during Ramadan due to illness, travel, or any other reason must make up for those fasts after Eid. Do not be careless in this; you must complete the count. In Sahih Muslim Hadith No. 2758, the Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal, it would be as if he fasted entire year.” What a great reward it is, by fasting just six days, you get the reward of fasting for the whole year. So, strive for this as well. May Allah bless us all with the ability to do more good deeds. Aameen.
