New Delhi.The two-day national conference ‘Manthan 2025’ concluded successfully at North Campus, Delhi University. On this occasion, RSS National Executive Member and Chief Patron of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (RSJM), Dr. Indresh Kumar, stated that those who think and act for the betterment of society and the nation are truly good human beings. He emphasized that India has always worked towards enriching society. The spirit of altruism and coexistence in Indian culture has contributed to building a strong and resilient society. Criticizing Western civilization, he remarked that while the West has destroyed cultures, India has preserved its identity and heritage.
Dr. Indresh Kumar highlighted that fearlessness is the key to success, and one must not let their nationality be compromised under any circumstances. He stressed that a developed India is our ultimate goal, and we must work with complete dedication to achieve it.


Discussion on Indian Culture and National Unity


The distinguished guest, Doordarshan’s Director General, K. Satish Nambudiripad, highlighted the significance of Indian culture and acknowledged the contributions of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. He stated that relying solely on institutions cannot achieve national objectives; citizens must remain vigilant about their duties. He noted that the unity and integrity of any nation rest on various factors, including civilization, culture, language, food habits, lifestyle, and attire. While multiple languages are spoken in India, their script is fundamentally based on Sanskrit. Emphasizing the need to strengthen India’s cultural heritage, he stated that India’s problems began during the colonial period when Thomas Macaulay sought to suppress our civilization, culture, and language by imposing a materialistic mindset. However, he pointed out that circumstances are now changing, and society must foster a sense of belongingness.


Goal of a Developed India by 2047
Chairing the concluding session, Jamia Millia Islamia Registrar and RSJM National Secretary General, Prof. Mehtab Alam Rizvi, said that India faces several major challenges in the next 22 years. Transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 is our sole objective, and the government is working with full dedication toward this goal. He outlined the government’s key priorities, including the eradication of hunger, farmer welfare, improvements in education and healthcare, national security, economic progress, technological development, women’s empowerment, and strengthening India’s knowledge tradition.
Cultural Diplomacy and India’s Soft Power
Prof. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, highlighted India’s strong soft power. He stated that regardless of where Indian scholars, scientists, and entrepreneurs reside, their hearts remain connected to India. He elaborated on cultural diplomacy and capacity building.
Participation of Scholars in the Conference
The two-day national conference was organized under the joint aegis of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (RSJM), the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and the Centre for Himalayan Studies, Delhi University. The event featured five insightful technical sessions, with participation from esteemed academicians, security experts, media professionals, researchers, and students from across the country.


Delivering the welcome address, Prof. B.W. Pandey, Director of the Centre for Himalayan Studies, expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests. Meanwhile, senior RSJM official Vikramaditya Singh extended thanks to all scholars, professors, researchers, and students, asserting that the discussions and deliberations from this conference would contribute to building a developed India.
