Secure First, Second, and Third Positions at Prestigious National-Level Event in New Delhi
New Delhi/Agra, Students of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra have once again brought laurels to their institution through their talent and dedication. On April 15, at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, Embassy of the Russian Federation in New Delhi, the university’s students achieved a remarkable feat by securing the first, second, and third positions in the Russian Poetry Recitation Competition.
This prestigious competition was jointly organized by the MIR Foundation and Moscow Polytechnic University, Russia. It witnessed participation from over 80 students representing leading institutions across the country, including Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi), University of Delhi, Amity University (Noida), University of Allahabad, Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Meerut), and Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi).
From Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, students from the Department of Foreign Languages — Samriddhi, Aakash Thakur, and Gaurav Bhatt — won the first, second, and third prizes respectively, bringing pride to the university. The students were mentored by Mr. Anuj Garg, Assistant Professor of Russian Language, who recently returned from an academic visit to Moscow Polytechnic University. During his visit, he initiated discussions on academic collaboration between the two institutions, which are expected to culminate in a formal agreement in the near future.
Dr. Pradeep Verma, Secretary of the university’s International Relations Cell, and Prof. Pradeep Sridhar, Director of the institute, congratulated the winners on their success. Prof. Ashu Rani, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the university, also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the winning students and appreciated the efforts of the entire faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages.
This outstanding achievement not only highlights the academic excellence of the university but also serves as an inspiration for young learners aspiring to make a mark on international platforms.
