
Agra.The three-day solo art exhibition “Krititva” by renowned artist and former Principal of Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Dr. Saroj Bhargava, concluded with great success today, April 17, 2025. The closing ceremony was marked by the symbolic final brushstroke by Prof. Nasreen Begum, bringing the event to a graceful end.
The exhibition showcased an array of stunning works including portraits, compositions, still life, and landscapes, each marked by vibrant colors, refined composition, and the deep emotional expression of the artist. The display captured the attention of students, teachers, and art lovers from various colleges across the city, who praised the exhibition with admiration and heartfelt appreciation.
Honored with the prestigious Padma Shri Yogendra Kala Samman-2024 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Bhargava shared her reflections during the event, stating:
“Art is the powerful expression of the inner self. My creations are the result of heartfelt emotions and imagination, brought to life through brush and color. This is my lifelong meditation, and I shall continue this artistic journey as long as I live.”

Prof. Nasreen Begum, during her address, acknowledged Dr. Bhargava’s lasting influence as an educator and artist:
“Her students are now spread across the nation, and many returned over these three days — a testament not only to her art but to her enduring bond with them. She has strung them together like pearls into a beautiful garland.”

The event saw the presence of many esteemed guests including Dr. Bindu Awasthi, Dr. Sadhana Singh, Dr. Vinita, Dr. Savita Prasad, Dr. Mona Singh, Sadhana Bhargava, Radha Mukul Gupta, Nandan Nandan Garg, and Mamta Bansal, among others. The program was smoothly compered by Dr. Bindu Awasthi, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sadhana Singh.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Bhargava shared insightful thoughts on the essence of painting, offering valuable guidance to aspiring artists. The ceremony concluded on an emotional and poetic note with the following couplet offered in her honor:

“May ripples and heights both take pride in you,
And may God bless you with many more graceful years ahead.”
