Agra. The 25th edition of the Asian Business & Social Forum (ABSF), organized by AsiaOne, was grandly held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. On this special occasion, the Hindi biography of Puran Dawar, Chairman of Dawar Group and President of AFMEC, titled “Sangharsh… Safalta Se Samarpan Tak” was officially launched.
The biography was jointly unveiled by Tanzania’s High Commissioner A.E. Anisa K. Mbega, Minister of State for Law and Justice (Government of India) Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Executive Director of the Leather Sector Skill Council Sanjay Kumar, renowned footwear exporter Kuldeep Singh Gujral, Chairman of Aakash Group Dr. J.C. Chaudhry, AsiaOne Chairman Rajat Raj Shukal, Abhishek Mehrotra, and senior TV anchor Saurabh Manchanda.
Following the unveiling, Chief Guest Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel and Special Guest A.E. Anisa K. Mbega addressed the gathering. They emphasized that India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation cannot overlook the invaluable contribution of its entrepreneurs. They urged the younger generation to take inspiration from such role models. They praised the Hindi biography of Puran Dawar for offering motivational insights into overcoming challenges and achieving success through dedication.
The event witnessed participation from ambassadors and high commissioners of countries such as Argentina, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Gambia, Iceland, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tunisia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations with India.
Also present at the forum were CLE (North) Regional Director Atul Mishra, Power Sector Advisor Ravi Arya, footwear exporters Kuldeep Singh Gujral and Sushil Sachdeva, senior TV anchor Saurabh Manchanda, and ION India Editor-in-Chief Archana Singh.
It is noteworthy that Puran Dawar’s English biography was previously launched in Dubai last year. The book is widely available on Amazon and at leading bookstores across India, receiving great appreciation from readers.
India’s Major Role in Boosting Footwear Exports
Puran Dawar has carved a niche for himself internationally as a successful footwear exporter. He has served for many years as the Northern Region Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Under his leadership, India has consistently advanced in footwear exports. His contributions to social welfare are equally commendable.
