Jammu, A grand and vibrant program was organized today in Village Vias Pur of R.S. Pura district, Jammu, to mark the birth anniversaries of some of India’s most revered social reformers – Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, the father of social revolution; Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution; and Mahatma Sant Ram Baji, a prominent figure in the fight for social equality.
The event was organized by various social organizations to spread awareness about the lives, struggles, and revolutionary contributions of these great personalities towards building a just and equal society. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, social activists, and local leaders.
The gathering was graced by Sh. Jia Lal Verma, State President of the Samajwadi Party, and Sh. Rakesh Verma, State Secretary, who were warmly welcomed by the organizers and attendees. In his address, Sh. Jia Lal Verma emphasized the importance of continuing the legacy of these iconic figures by promoting social harmony, education, and equal rights for all. He also urged the youth to draw inspiration from the vision and values upheld by these reformers.
The program concluded on a high note with cultural performances, speeches, and a pledge to carry forward the mission of social justice.
