Call for Dialogue Towards Stronger Inter-community BondingRajendra Pal Gautam said – “Discussions behind closed doors will yield no results”

Former MP Ram Bakhsh Verma stated – “Traitors have deceitfully captured power in the country”

New Delhi, The Delhi Chapter of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (Regd.) organized a conference on the theme “Towards Stronger Inter-community Bonding” at Milli Model School, Abul Fazal Enclave. Expressing deep concern over the current state of affairs in the country, the speakers emphasized the need for unity against rising hatred, intolerance, and divisive politics in society.

Rajendra Pal Gautam, former minister in the Delhi government, said that the country is going through its worst phase and that it is every citizen’s responsibility to bring it back on track. He stated,
“Holding discussions in closed rooms will not yield any outcomes. It is essential to go among the people, initiate dialogue, and raise awareness—this is the need of the hour.”

Former MP Dr. Ram Bakhsh Verma, while addressing the gathering, said,
“I began my life with the RSS and was also associated with the BJP, but now I follow socialist ideals.”
He remarked that the RSS and BJP have a dual character and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhibits all the traits of authoritarianism. He also strongly criticized the nexus between media and corporate power, saying,
“Traitors have deceitfully captured power in the country.”

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Abdul Mannan.
In his opening address, Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, National President of AIMMM, quoted a verse from the Quran, stating that “We are all children of Adam. Humanity is our true religion.” He emphasized that spreading the message of brotherhood to every household is the need of the hour. Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan said that the world is facing unrest and anxiety, and therefore it is our collective responsibility to not only disseminate the message of peace but also make every possible effort to establish it.
He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the President of Delhi Mashawarat, Syed Mohammad Noorullah, Vice President Dr. M. Rahmatullah, General Secretary Dr. M.A. Johar, Executive General Secretary Mohammad Tayyab, Secretary Advocate Sarfaraz Hussain, Treasurer Mohammad Maroof, and all members of the Delhi Chapter for the successful organization of the conference.

Daya Singh, President of the All India Peace Mission, stated,
“The misconceptions spread about Aurangzeb are injustices against history. Muslims and other religious groups must work together to build a good and strong society.”

Dr. M.D. Thomas, Director of the Institute of Harmony and Peace Studies, who chaired the conference, said,
“We can only create a climate of goodwill by embracing the virtues of all religions and including one another in our celebrations and festivals.”
Maulana Mufti Ataur Rahman Qasmi, in his speech, remarked,
“The current condition of the country is not a result of one day, but of a century-long organized conspiracy. However, this phase too shall pass—provided we all make collective efforts.”
Advocate Firoz Khan Ghazi expressed concern over religious nationalism, stating,
“Hatred weakens the roots of nationalism. Over the past 25 years, religious sentiments have been exploited for political gains.”

Prof. Mohammad Suleman noted,
“Today, the country is caught in the grip of an alliance between capitalists and fascist forces. This is now a battle to save the nation, and it demands sacrifice—of life, wealth, and time.”
The event was anchored by senior journalist Suhail Anjum, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Syed Mohammad Noorullah, President of AIMMM, Delhi Chapter.
