Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday briefed Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed multiple lives. The high-level meeting was convened to review the security situation and discuss further counter-terrorism measures in the region.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and top security brass were also present during the briefing. The leaders expressed deep concern over the incident and emphasized the need for heightened vigilance across sensitive areas in the Valley.
Investigations are currently underway, and additional forces have been deployed in and around Pahalgam to prevent any further untoward incidents.
