New Delhi– The Samajwadi Party has issued a strong condemnation of the brutal terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians and left several others severely injured.

In an official press release, the party described the incident as a “cowardly and inhumane act”, highlighting it as yet another alarming failure of the national security system under the current government. The party stated that the administration has repeatedly failed to ensure the safety of people in sensitive and conflict-prone areas like Kashmir.
The Samajwadi Party has called for an immediate and impartial investigation into the attack and demanded that the perpetrators and their handlers be brought to justice without delay.
Additionally, the party urged the central government to announce a compensation of ₹10 lakh for the families of each deceased victim. It emphasized that mere words of sympathy are not enough—concrete and compassionate steps must be taken to support the affected families.
The party also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, asserting that terrorism is a direct assault on humanity and must be countered with national unity, firm resolve, and uncompromising action.
The statement was issued by the General Secretary on behalf of the State President, Jammu & Kashmir.
