Agra | The Imam of Masjid Neharwali, Sikandra, Muhammad Iqbal, mentioned the Pahalgam tragedy in today’s Friday Sermon. He said that Islam teaches that killing a single innocent person is like killing all of humanity, and in Pahalgam, Kashmir, more than 28 people were killed without any fault of theirs. They had simply stepped out with their children to enjoy some time together. What was their fault that they were made targets of bullets? Those who carried out this act will be considered criminals in the eyes of Allah. Since the tragedy occurred in Pahalgam, I have personally been deeply distressed. It is a very painful matter. Just think about the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. What they must be going through. We share the grief of all the families whose relatives were affected. The entire nation stands with them. We pray for the quick recovery of the injured. 1.4 billion people condemn this terrorist attack. I appeal to the entire nation that in this critical time, we must not engage in mutual differences, but instead show unity. Only then can we collectively face such attacks. On my behalf, on behalf of all of you, and on behalf of the whole country, I once again assure all those families that we stand with them in this hour of grief. We pray to Allah to bring peace to our country and to the entire world. Aameen.
