Masjid Nehar Wali Khateeb Calls for Patience, Justice and Communal Harmony; Urges People Not to Take the Law into Their Own Hands

Agra: Delivering his Friday sermon at Masjid Nehar Wali, Khateeb Mohammad Iqbal spoke about the prevailing social situation in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith, urging people to remain patient, peaceful and committed to justice.

Addressing the worshippers, Mohammad Iqbal referred to Surah Ibrahim, Verse 42, and reminded them that Allah is never unaware of the actions of those who commit oppression. He said that Allah may grant an oppressor respite for a certain period, but divine justice is certain and unavoidable.

He stressed that everything takes place according to Allah’s divine system and that only Allah knows when and for how long a person will be given respite. Ultimately, every act of injustice and oppression will have to be accounted for.

“No Greater Wrong Than Preventing Worship”

Referring to Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 114, the Khateeb said that one of the gravest forms of wrongdoing is preventing people from remembering Allah in places of worship or attempting to destroy or abandon such places.

He, however, made an emphatic appeal for peace and restraint, urging people not to respond to any provocation with anger, violence or retaliation.

“Do not take the law into your own hands. Remain patient, exercise wisdom and maintain restraint. Allah Almighty is the ultimate Judge, and complete justice will be delivered on the Day of Judgment,” he said.

Oppression Will Eventually Face Accountability

Quoting Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 47, Mohammad Iqbal said that divine justice is based on absolute fairness and that those who commit oppression will ultimately come to know the consequences of their actions.

He emphasized that no injustice remains beyond the knowledge of Allah and that worldly power or temporary authority cannot prevent accountability before the A
