Agra,The monthly Chhathi Sharif of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti, popularly known as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz of Ajmer Sharif, was observed with deep devotion and reverence at the Dargah of Hazrat Sheikh Salim Chishti on Sunday.
On the occasion, rituals including the recitation of the Holy Quran, Fateha Khwani and Shijra Khwani were performed at the shrine. Following the rituals, Pirzada Saif Miyan Chishti offered floral tributes at the dargah and prayed for peace, communal harmony, mutual brotherhood and prosperity across the country. Tabarruk (sacred offerings) was also distributed among the devotees.
Pirzada Saif Miyan Chishti explained that Chhathi Sharif is observed on the sixth day of every Islamic lunar month at the shrine of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz in Ajmer Sharif. Following the same spiritual tradition, a special Fateha ceremony was organised at Dargah Salim Chishti.
Those present on the occasion included Ehsan Sabri, Hafiz Alam, Anwar Bhai, Abdul Qadir, Haji Pappu, Faheem Bhai, Chand Qureshi, Hanif Qureshi, Shanu, Mustaqeem and Aqib Hussain, along with a large number of local residents and devotees.
