Free health and dental hygiene kits distributed; eye examinations and spectacles provided as campaign targets 3,500 women workers in Agra
Agra: Taking another step towards women’s empowerment and the welfare of underprivileged communities, Kishor Shakti Foundation launched a health and social welfare initiative on Friday at Kishor Exports, EPIP, Shastripuram, Agra. The campaign aims to benefit approximately 3,500 women workers in need.

Organised in the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and the International Day of Care and Support observed on October 29, the initiative highlighted the importance of women’s health, early detection of diseases, regular health check-ups and appropriate medical consultation.

As part of the programme, free health and medicine kits, along with dental hygiene kits, were distributed among women workers. Free eye examinations were also conducted, and spectacles suited to the vision requirements of women experiencing visual difficulties were provided.
Speaking on the occasion, Snehlata Agrawal of Kishor Shakti Foundation said that, with the support of textile and garment exporter Kishor Exports, the foundation has been continuously working towards women’s employment, empowerment and social welfare.
She emphasised that social responsibility extends beyond the workplace and includes improving the health, dignity, self-reliance and overall quality of life of economically disadvantaged women.
“Healthy and empowered women are the foundation of strong families and a prosperous society,” she said.
During the programme, Sakshi Agrawal and Kopal Agrawal of Kishor Exports welcomed the guests. Foreign guests Nadine, Greg, Hakan, Sheena and Sandeep were also present on the occasion.
