Agra: A review workshop of the second phase of the Student Police Experiential Learning (SPEL) Programme was organized at the Agra Police Commissionerate. The event was attended by Additional Director General of Police (Administration & Training), Uttar Pradesh, M.V. Annie Dev Munnar, Agra Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar, Additional Police Commissioner Ram Badan Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Sonam Kumar, and other senior officials.

The program was conducted with the support of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters. As part of the program, participating students were given exposure to police operations through visits to the Police Lines, Cyber Police Station, Women’s Helpline UP-112, Narcotics, and Media Center. Training covered key topics such as crime investigation, cybercrime, humanitarian services, law & order, and security.

The ADG appreciated the active participation of students, stating that such initiatives build a bridge between youth and the police. Students shared that prior to the program, they held several negative perceptions about the police, but the training helped them witness and appreciate the police’s operational efficiency, discipline, and case-handling process.
The SPEL program aims to strengthen police-public cooperation and enhance legal awareness among youth.
