Lucknow: A Roza Iftar program organized at the Uttar Pradesh Congress office, Nehru Bhavan in Lucknow, during the holy month of Ramadan concluded in an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood. The presence of Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi created special enthusiasm among party workers, and a large number of people gathered to meet him.
At the time of Iftar, a huge crowd of workers and supporters was seen in the Congress office premises. Due to the excitement among workers to meet Imran Pratapgarhi, there was a brief period of hustle and bustle in the campus. Seeing the growing crowd, he moved to the chamber of Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai, where he met leaders and workers one by one.
The program was attended by several senior leaders including AICC National General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pande, Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari, former Union Minister Salman Khurshid, National Secretary Dhiraj Gurjar, senior leader Tauqeer Alam, MP Tanuj Punia, Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona, and former MP P. L. Punia. Along with them, many senior leaders, former ministers, MLAs, office bearers and a large number of Congress workers from across the state were present.
Religious scholars (Ulema) from different faiths also attended the event, and everyone participated together in the Roza Iftar. The entire program reflected a strong message of communal harmony, mutual respect, and the spirit of India’s composite Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.
It is noteworthy that a day earlier, a Holi Milan ceremony was also organized at the Uttar Pradesh Congress office in the presence of Avinash Pande and Ajay Rai, where a large number of Congress workers participated. From the colors of Holi to the Roza Iftar of Ramadan, these events conveyed a message that the Congress party remains committed to strengthening the traditions of love, harmony, and unity in society.
Several senior leaders, former ministers, legislators, party officials and a large number of workers were present on the occasion. Bashir-ul-Haq Rocky and social activist Ayaz Khan Achchu were also in attendance.
