Prayagraj: The Headquarters of Eastern UP and MP Sub Area successfully organized an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally on 21 November 2025 in Prayagraj, aimed at addressing the welfare needs of veterans and Veer Naris from six districts—Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Banda, and Chitrakoot. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with around 900 veterans and 20 Veer Naris in attendance.
Lieutenant General VPS Kaushik, UYSM, YSM, SM, Adjutant General of the Indian Army, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He interacted with the participants and felicitated distinguished ex-servicemen for their contributions to society post-retirement, as well as Veer Naris for their courage and sacrifice.
Major General AS Sohal, VSM, GOC, Purva UP and MP Sub Area, along with district dignitaries and Zila Sainik Board representatives, attended the rally to extend their support. A special lecture by the OIC DPCC highlighted key welfare schemes, benefits, and resettlement opportunities available to veterans.
Participants made full use of the various facilities and support services provided, contributing to the overall success of the rally.
