Agra | In today’s Friday Sermon Muhammad Iqbal, Imam of Masjid Nahar Wali Sikandra, advised the people about their responsibilities. He said that the Constitution of the country has given you a big responsibility to form your own Government using your rights. The Voting is a way to do so. At present general elections are taking place in the country. Everyone has to vote when the time comes. Now it is the responsibility of all of us to use our vote thoughtfully. Make such people responsible for the country who will be proved beneficial for both the country and the people. The country progresses only when the public is prosperous. Therefore, it is our responsibility to use our vote when the time comes and elect such people who can make the public prosperous. This is a huge responsibility. If you commit a mistake, you will be called a ‘criminal’. It is stated in the hadith of Sahih Bukhari, “A believer should fulfill his responsibilities and as far as his rights are concerned, he should ask for it from Allah.” Therefore, on the day of voting, include this one duty along with the five obligatory prayers and include others in the same way so that they too can ‘pay’ their duty. O servants of Allah ! Don’t turn away from your responsibilities. This is a matter of the ‘future’ of our country and all of us. May Allah grant us this. Aameen.
