Aligarh.Aligarh was filled with an atmosphere of devotion and love as spiritually uplifting gatherings were held on the occasion of Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara. Special gatherings were organised at various khanqahs, dargahs and madrasas across the district in remembrance of Sayyidna Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, popularly known as Ghaus Pak. A large number of devotees participated in these gatherings and expressed their devotion. A grand Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara gathering was also organised at Madrasa Faizan Mustafa in Zahra Bagh, which was attended by a large number of devotees. During the gathering, discussions were held on zikr and remembrance, religious teachings and the valuable services rendered by the revered saints. The entire gathering remained immersed in love, devotion and spiritual reverence for Sayyidna Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
(At Khanqah Niyazia in Sir Syed Nagar, a grand Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara was organised under the auspices of Alniyaz Educational and Welfare Foundation. Addressing the gathering, Pir-e-Tariqat Dr Mohammad Abbas Niyazi said that the most prominent aspect of Ghaus Pak’s blessed life was his unparalleled attachment to Shariah and his complete adherence to it. He said that Ghaus Pak always gave priority to Shariah for the renewal and revival of religion and guided people towards the true teachings of Islam. He made sustained efforts against innovations and superstitions spreading in society and, while working to eliminate practices contrary to Shariah, encouraged people to follow religion with steadfastness and sincerity.
He said that a major part of Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani’s blessed life was devoted to teaching, preaching, guidance and the reformation of the Muslim community. Through his knowledge, practice, piety and spiritual blessings, he illuminated the hearts of countless people with the light of faith. He firmly established the truth of the religion in people’s hearts, dispelled the darkness of misguided beliefs and devoted his entire life to establishing the supremacy of the Quran and Sunnah.
He said that it was impossible to encompass the greatness and exalted status of Ghaus Pak in words. He possessed countless virtues and qualities, and even if his achievements were to be counted, a human lifetime would come to an end, yet the account of his greatness and spiritual accomplishments could not be completed. His teachings continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity even today, while his blessed life remains a shining example of sincerity, piety, adherence to Shariah and service to religion.
He said that there was a need not merely to organise gatherings and express devotion, but to implement the teachings of Ghaus Pak in our own lives, strengthen our attachment to the Quran and Sunnah, adhere to Shariah and represent the true teachings of religion through our character and actions. This, he said, was the true requirement of love and devotion towards the revered saints. A flag-hoisting ceremony was also held on the occasion.
In this connection, Dr Mohammad Abbas Niyazi said that the flag had been presented to him by the shrine of Ghaus-e-Azam after he was invited to an international conference held in Karbala Sharif, Iraq. On the occasion, Qasida-e-Ghausia was recited, manqabat was presented in praise of Ghaus Pak, and a poetic tribute was offered at the court of Ghaus-ul-Wara. This was followed by Fatiha Khwani and prayers for peace and security.
Those present on the occasion included Haider Ali Niyazi, Hafiz Furqan Niyazi, Safdar Niyazi, Jafar Niyazi, Haider Abbas Niyazi, Ruhan Niyazi, Ali Zaman Niyazi, Ali Hasnain Niyazi, Ibad Niyazi, Fakhri Ali Niyazi, Sarwar Azim Niyazi, Karim Niyazi, Khusro Niyazi, Sarwar Azim Niyazi, Saeed Ahmad Niyazi, Adnan Niyazi, Asif Niyazi, Atif Niyazi, Muzammil Niyazi and a large number of devotees.
Meanwhile, addressing the Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara gathering held at Madrasa Faizan Mustafa in Zahra Bagh, Allama Sayyid Jamal Ahmad said that Sayyidna Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, described as the radiant light of the spiritual realm, the Qutb of the world, the beloved of the saints and a great and exalted personality, was a revered saint whom Allah Almighty honoured with the title of Muhyuddin. He said that his entire life was devoted to the elevation of the true faith, adherence to Shariah, propagation of the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, and guiding people towards the straight path.
He said that Sayyidna Ghaus Pak was born on the first day of Ramadan in the town of Jilan, near Baghdad Sharif. He held a very high status in terms of lineage. On his father’s side, he was from the eleventh generation of Imam Hasan Mujtaba, while on his mother’s side, he belonged to the twelfth generation of Imam Hussain. His family was a household of righteous and pious servants of God, and people used to regard his family as a family of nobles.
Meanwhile, Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara gatherings were also organised at various Khanqahs and Madrasas, including Enclave Colony, Hazrat Nizamuddin Colony, Nishat Bagh, Madrasa Faizan Badr-ul-Hind, Madrasa Madinat-ul-Islam, Raza Nagar, Madrasatul Madina, Madrasa Arabia Azhar-ul-Uloom, Madrasa Qadriya Barkatiya, Madrasa Dar-ul-Arqam, Madrasa Faizan Garib Nawaz, Madrasa Muhammad Ali, Madrasa Lutfia, and Madrasa Faizan Maula Ali.
