Indian Schools Convention 2026 on Strengthening School Education under NEP Organised by CNMS and Media Centre
New Delhi, : The Indian Schools Convention, scheduled to be held on March 26, 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami at the India International Centre, New Delhi, has received an encouraging response from schools across the country. The event is being organized by the Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) in collaboration with the Media Centre. The convention has been dedicated to noted industrialist and philanthropist Padma Bhushan Ratan Naval Tata, recognizing his lifelong contribution to nation-building and social development. The convention will be held under the theme “Strengthening School Education for National Development under the National Education Policy (NEP).”
Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman Centre for NaMo Studies informed that 187 schools from different states of India have already registered for participation in the convention and the associated Principal, Management and School Awards 2026.
Schools from Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and several other states have submitted nominations. The registrations include government schools, private institutions, and independent educational organizations.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad stated that the last date for nominations was March 12, 2026, and the applications received from schools are currently being reviewed by the jury panel of the Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS). The jury is evaluating the nominations to identify institutions and principals who have demonstrated innovation, leadership, and excellence in school education.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad said that the programme will also highlight the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to transform India’s education system through holistic learning, skill development, innovation, and the integration of modern technology in classrooms.
Coordinator Prof Divya Tanwar and Dr Daulat Ram Sharma jointly said that the convention aims to create a national platform for educators, school leaders, and academic institutions to share ideas, celebrate achievements, and discuss the future of school education in India, which is likely to add further significance to the event.
Dr Deeba Co Coordinator of ISC informed that “During the convention, best schools will be honoured with commemorative mementos, Certificates, while outstanding principals will receive Principal Excellence Awards in recognition of their contribution to educational development and leadership,” she stated.
