HelpAge India Organizes Health Camp with Support from Hotel Amar Vilas; Free Medicines Distributed to Residents

Agra: A free medical camp was organized on August 1, 2026, in the New Abadi Pakki Sarai slum area under the Niti Bagh Police Post of Tajganj Police Station. The camp was organized by HelpAge India with the support of Hotel Amar Vilas.

The medical camp aimed to provide healthcare assistance to people from economically weaker sections of the locality. Residents suffering from various common ailments were examined by medical professionals and provided medicines free of cost. Medicines for ailments including itching, cough, fever, body pain and other common health problems were distributed during the camp.

The camp was organized with the efforts of social worker and journalist Merajuddin, former BSP ward councillor candidate from Ward No. 97 Mohammad Rizwan, and Little Dolly Agra.

Appreciating the initiative, representatives of Little Dolly Agra said that organizing free medical camps for needy people is a commendable and charitable effort. Mohammad Rizwan said that poor and underprivileged people often face difficulties in accessing proper medical treatment due to financial constraints. He emphasized that such camps should be organized regularly to provide relief to people in need.

Social worker and journalist Merajuddin said, “I am committed to remaining active in the service of the people of my area. My aim is to serve people from all communities living in the ward, and I will continue such public service initiatives in the future as well.”

Dr. Sanjay Rawat, Vivek Kumar, Vikesh (Pharmacist), and Om Prakash Pandey examined patients and provided them with medical advice and medicines.

Surajpal, Mohammad Abid, Baqeel Hussain, Zakir Qureshi and others also extended their support in making the medical camp successful.

Local residents appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to HelpAge India, Hotel Amar Vilas, and all those involved in organizing the free medical camp.
