Organisation highlights its leadership journey, social outreach, education and welfare initiatives
New Delhi: The All India Ulama Board is marking its Silver Jubilee Year, celebrating a significant journey dedicated to peace, national integration, inter-community dialogue, education and social welfare across India.
According to the organisation, the roots of the All India Ulama Board can be traced to 1989, when a group of like-minded religious and social personalities gathered at the residence of Allama Bunai Hasani to discuss the need for an effective and united platform that could work for communal harmony, national integration and constructive dialogue.
The initiative was envisioned as a common platform representing different Maslaks and communities. Subsequently, the name “All India Ulama Board” was proposed.
Leadership Through the Years
The first President of the All India Ulama Board was Peer Fakhroo Miyan Chishti, Gaddi Nashin of the Astana of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Ajmer.
Allama Bunai Hasani, Founder and Secretary General, has remained closely associated with the organisation’s mission and activities since its inception.
Later, Maulana Niyaz Ahmed Qasmi, Shahi Imam of Eidgah Shahjahani, Delhi, served as the second President. At present, Maulana Sahabuddin Salafi Firdousi is serving as the third President of the Board.
The organisation says its leadership has consistently worked to bring religious scholars, educationists, social workers and community representatives onto a common platform for dialogue and public service.
Growing Influence Across Communities
Over the years, the All India Ulama Board has sought to expand its engagement beyond religious discussions by addressing wider social concerns.
Its programmes and interactions have focused on strengthening understanding between communities, encouraging peaceful coexistence and promoting a sense of shared national responsibility.
The Board has also sought to connect religious scholars and community leaders with professionals, educators, social activists and civil society representatives. Through dialogue-oriented programmes and public initiatives, it has attempted to create opportunities for cooperation on issues affecting ordinary citizens.
National integration has remained an important part of the organisation’s public vision. The Board advocates social harmony and encourages communities to contribute positively towards education, welfare and nation-building.
Education and Social Welfare
Education and social welfare continue to form an important part of the organisation’s mission.
According to the Board, its initiatives have focused on promoting educational awareness, encouraging social responsibility and recognising individuals working for the upliftment of disadvantaged sections of society.
The organisation believes that constructive engagement among different communities is essential for addressing social challenges and building an inclusive society.
Honouring Excellence and Public Service
The All India Ulama Board also recognises distinguished personalities from different walks of life for their contributions to society.
Awards are presented for achievements in education, social activism, humanitarian service, women empowerment, journalism, arts, inclusive politics, health and medicine, corporate development and business.
The organisation says these awards are intended to acknowledge individuals whose work has made a positive contribution to society and to inspire others to participate in public welfare and nation-building.

The Supreme Body and Awards Jury of the All India Ulama Board includes Advocate Amjad Khan of Lucknow, Syed Muzaffar Ali of Ajmer, Mufti Tahir Hussain Mazahiri of Delhi, Maulana Naushad Ahmad Siddiqui of Darbhanga, Badshah Khan of Ranchi, Mufti Khalid Azam Haidari of Kolkata, Qazi Rizwan-ul-Rahman Siddiqui of Gulbarga, Maulana Riyazuddin Naqshbandi of Hyderabad and Principal Dr Zeba Malik of Mumbai.
Reaffirming the Commitment to Peace and Unity
As it marks its Silver Jubilee Year, the All India Ulama Board has reiterated its commitment to peace, inter-community dialogue, education, social welfare and national integration.
The organisation says it will continue working towards strengthening dialogue among diverse sections of Indian society and promoting an atmosphere of mutual respect, cooperation and peaceful coexistence.
